Join the Fight to Restore Integrity to Our Courts! Chris Davis needs your support in his campaign for District Court Judge in Department 14. As a sixth generation Nevadan, he has strong roots here and is deeply concerned about our community. Working for the Federal courts, in private practice, and now as a Deputy City Attorney, Chris has maintained the highest legal and ethical standards. He is prepared to preside over the entire gamut of criminal and civil cases as Chris has dealt with criminal cases ranging from drug crimes to capital punishment cases and civil litigation involving multi-million dollar transactions to civil rights actions. | | Your support of Chris is essential to restore confidence in our judicial system which has increasingly become a national joke. Sadly, the Review-Journal reported that our State Courts have been rated "one of the most unfair" in the nation.1 The Los Angeles Times used Judge Mosley, Chris' opponent, as a "case study" for what is wrong with our judicial system.2 Since his last election, Mosley has been disciplined by the Nevada Supreme Court for his unethical conduct as a judge.3 Recently, the Nevada Supreme Court stated it was "troubled" by Mosley’s conduct and took the extraordinary step of reassigning one of Mosley’s cases to a different judge because Judge Mosely admitted he had not read, let alone followed, the Supreme Court's prior order in the case.4 | | You may think that such shameful conduct is simply "business as usual" and that you can do little to change the system. To paraphrase Edmond Burke: All that is necessary for the triumph of corruption is that good men and good women do nothing. In this day of the Internet, you have more power than ever to change the system for the better. If you, like Chris, want to restore honesty and integrity to our courts, please consider doing one or more of the following: |
Volunteering can be as simple as emailing a link to this page to all of your friends, neighbors and family that live in Clark County. If everyone emailed this page to ten other people, Chris would be able to reach the more than 400,000 voters in Clark County with only six emails. If you would like to do more, just email Chris at Chris@ChrisDavisForJudge.com, and he will put your talents to use. Chris would also appreciate volunteer support from your teenagers who would like to learn more about the political process. |
With your help, Chris will have the chance to personally contact each voter in Clark County to keep them updated on his campaign. You can refer your friends, neighbors and family by simply adding Chris’ email address when emailing to them the link to this page. You can also use this simple form for referrals. Chris is committed to keeping any referrals confidential and you can trust that he will use them only for his campaign. |
Even with Judge Mosley’s shameful record, beating an entrenched incumbent will not be easy. It will take several hundred thousand dollars to get Chris’ message of change out to the voters, and that’s just in the primary election! Chris has put together a top campaign team and is aggressively targeting likely voters. Thoughtfully consider whether you are in the position to make a financial donation so that Chris’ message of change and integrity will be heard. Any amount can help. Donations up to $10,000.00 are accepted here or can be mailed to: Committee to Elect Chris Davis, 3933 Lost Miner Court, Las Vegas, NV 89129. | You have the power to restore integrity and character to Department 14. Thank you for your help and support in this very important effort. ___________________________________________ | | 1See Las Vegas Review-Journal, (Dec. 18, 2007), "County is called court 'hellhole'" by David Kihara.
